Peter Ndlovu robbed

Sikhumbuzo Moyo Senior Sports Reporter
A thief broke into legendary footballer Peter Ndlovu’s car in the Bulawayo central business district last Wednesday stealing cash and valuables. The thief is alleged to have walked away with an undisclosed amount of money and the Mamelodi Sundowns manager family’s passports.

Ndlovu bemoaned the incident in a Facebook post this week.

The former Highlanders and Coventry tearaway striker said the thief was someone known to him who stays in Entumbane but practises vice from a leading supermarket in the central business district’s periphery.

In the post Ndlovu alleges the suspect came to him and asked for a Christmas present but little did the former Warriors skipper realise that the man had evil intentions.

“Am pleading with you baba who robbed our car at TM Hyper on December 31 to please return or surrender the passports at a nearest police station so that we can travel with my family please. Even if you surrender them by Entumbane lapho ohlala khona kushapu (where you stay, it’s okay) Bro,” wrote Ndlovu on his Facebook wall.

“You know ukuthi siyazana (that we know each other) but I don’t have to fight you over three year kids’ passports. What would you do with kids’ passports? Money you took and it’s fine. Little did I know when you greeted me and asked for a Christmas box, you had those intentions.

“However, I understand your situation. As long as I don’t get my kids passports my friend I will put a reward for anyone who calls police for you. I will also submit to the police a blown up picture of you Entumbane lako Hyper lapho otshontsha khona.

“Thank you people and am sorry I just need your help,” posted Ndlovu who is on holiday back home as the Absa Premiership League is on a break due to the African Nations Cup finals that start next week in Guinea Bissau. A quick check with police sources from the Theft From Car (TFC) squad yesterday did not reveal any official report from the legendary striker. Chronicles
