Boy knocked down and killed in Mpumalanga

A boy, believed to be six years old, was knocked and killed on the R37 in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, on Sunday.ER24 reported that the boy was apparently crossing the road when he was knocked down by a bakkie.

“When ER24 and provincial paramedics arrived on scene they found the boy lying on the road,” ER24 said. “He was assessed and it was found that he sustained severe injuries.

Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead.”

Local authorities were on scene to investigation. The Citizen
