'Prophet' Fails To Multiply Congregant's Money Through Miracle.

A self-proclaimed 24-year-old prophet of no fixed aboard reportedly swindled a Chitungwiza woman and her 48-year-old son close to $900.

According Herald the bogus prophet promised the woman that her $800 would multiply through a miracle and she will own a car and a house.

Innocent Somanje, then went on to dupe the women's jobless son a sum of $70 by promising him a job at Makoni Metro Peach wholesalers.

It is reported that Somanje approached the Annah Chigweshe and her son at their home in Chitungwiza and introduced himself as the founder and a prophet at Denomination Church.

Five days after the Chigweshe joined the congregation, Somanje allegedly prophesied that she was lucky and would soon own a vehicle and a house.

On the 6th day, Somanje visited Chigweshe requesting for cash to buy the vehicle.
The publication reports that the woman told Somanje "her money was very little to buy a car and Somanje allegedly persuaded her to surrender the money promising to multiply it through a miracle."

After receiving the money the 'Man of God' was nowhere to be found and the matter was reported to police leading to his arrest.

He denied two counts of fraud before Chitungwiza magistrate, Ms Tafadzwa Miti.

Ms Miti remanded him to Friday for trial continuation on his own cognisance.

Mr Innocent Tizirai prosecuted.
