Ten Things You Did Not Know About Jacob Zuma
Jacob Zuma was elected by parliament after his party’s victory in the 2008 General Election. Even after all the incidents and conspiracies that followed after the election, we decided to give him a second chance, and re-elected Jacob Zuma in the 2014 election.

From rapist to fire pools and nude paintings, South Africa has seen it all, and with Jacob Zuma’s second term coming to an end, there are still some things that South Africans do not know about Jacob Gedleyihkisa Zuma. So here are 10 things you did not know about Jacob Zuma.

1. Jacob Zuma is the 10th highest paid president in the world: Yep, Jacob Zuma earns more than the prime minister of UK, and yet he still “steals” public money. Jacob Zuma earns $272 000 per annum. That is R3 808 000 per annum. Now let’s do a quick case study. The cost of Nkandla exceeds R246 000 000. Jacob Zuma has been president from 2009 till 2016 (current year), that is 7 years. So 7 multiplied by R3 808 000 is equal to R26 656 000. So Jacob Zuma has earned roughly R26 656 000 in his 7 years of presidency. Without taking his many wives and children, which I am sure costs a lot to take care of, into consideration, how the hell does Jacob Zuma afford Nkandla? So R246 000 000 (Nkandla) – R26 656 000 (Estimated total earnings of 7 years of presidency) is equal to R219 344 000, my question is, where did that money come from? Guptas? Your hard earned salary?

2. Jacob Zuma served 10 years of imprisonment on Robben Island, alongside Nelson Mandela: Jacob Zuma has seved 10 years in prison, enough years? I doubt, but Jacob Zuma was arrested with a group 45 recruits in 1963. Zuma served as a referee for prisoners’ association football games.

There’s too many charges to name them all in this post, but just know that he has a lot to his name, over 700 charges of corruption.

4. Jacob Zuma was born in Nkandla: Jacob Zuma was born in Nkandla, which is in Kwazulu- Natal, not to mention that the place where he was born nearly ended his career, the Nkandla story, which has been told over and over again.

Who can forget the R246 000 000 that was spent on Nkandla. And then more Millions used to upgrade security at Nkandla and the istallation of a “Fire Pool”.

8. No former education: Jacob Zuma had no formal education when as a child. He does well have Soviet Union Training. Jacob Zuma taught him self how to read and write, but not how to count :). Jacob Zuma could not attend school because he had to help support his mother after his fathers death.
