WHAT DO YOU THINK - Surprising Reasons Why Zimbabwean Couples Get Divorced

Divorce cases in Zimbabwe and around the world is becoming alarming and the reasons for some of the divorce cases in Zimbabwe are very ridiculous. Even most religious people too have been getting divorced from their wives.

Usually the major reason where cheating, quality time and abuse but the reasons are different these days. Take a look at some reasons for divorce:

1. Inability of the woman to give birth to a child: Due to the pressure from society, family and friends the man is always forced to divorce his wife and marry another one so she would bear him a child. It depends on the couple to either find other solutions or adopt a child if he truly loves his wife like he claims.

Most times due to pressure the woman would make sure she gets pregnant with someone else just to resolve the issue. But it doesn’t work in Zimbabwe, somehow someone would find out and she would still be divorced.

2. Trust: Some women feel they cannot have children with their husbands because they don’t trust them. Refusal to get pregnant alone would make your man look outside. It’s scary when there’s no trust in a relationship much less when you’re married.

This is what turns so many Zimbabwean women to private detectives to check out what their husband does or where he goes to. Men also do that so its not just the woman. Trust issues contribute largely to the increasing number of divorce cases in Zimbabwe.

3. Maturity: Many couples complain that their partners are immature and they can’t deal with it. The best time to deal with immaturity is when you are dating, anything that you notice as a behaviour right from when you start dating should be trashed before marriage.

So many divorce cases has been on this issue. You need to understand your partner very well, if you know you both are not compatible don’t even get married to avoid all these divorce cases.

4. Love Died: Some couples are carried away by love and romance that they just rush into marriage without getting to know themselves. After some few months they would say “The Love Died”. That phrase is so ridiculous!

Marriage is not something you rush into, take your time to study the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, and if you realize he’s not right for you or vice versa break up and move on. A broken relationship is better than a broken marriage. Note that loving someone is not a day job, you would continually grow to love that person daily.

5. We Just grew apart: Most couples use this as an excuse to divorce. You cannot know your spouse in a day. Everyday there is always something new to learn about your spouse. Daily you would get to notice each others new character and behaviour.

If the character displayed is bad you both would help each other to make sure it stops not that one person would say he/she can’t cope. Hep to build yourselves up daily in different areas of life.

6. Selfishness: Some couples can’t stand their partner trying to be selfish. Love is about give and it most not necessarily be monetary. There are other things to give when you are married that are not monetary.

Share whatever you have with your partner it helps to increase the love in the marriage. surprise your spouse with something he/she have been wanting to have.

7. Distance: Some newly wedded couples who live apart tend to have this issues alot. It’s advisable to go or relocate to wherever your spouse is to avoid any issues. Long distance can be handled well when you’re dating due to efficient communication system but when you are married it’s not advisable.

Except it was a short business trip or work conferences and all then that can be handled. This issue has caused many couples to divorce. The couples affected are mostly the ones that work in different countries and hardly have time for each other.

8. Money: Money has always been an issue right from time. Most men feel insecure when their wives earn more than them, while some wives collect too much money from their husband for no reasonable thing.

Most times the doesn’t help to manage the money the man is working hard for and mismanagement of wealth can lead to debt or insufficiency.

All these and more are the reasons why couples divorce. Couples should strive daily to grow in love, maturity, understanding and respect for each other to help reduce the divorce cases in Zimbabwe.
