Cameroon is scheduled to host the Cup of African Nations(CAN) 2019, and H.E President Paul Biya, presidential candidate representing the CPDM political party, has already launched a campaign to promote the CAN 2019, with his face as the "Leader who records victories."

He also boldly stated in his end of year 2017 speech that Cameroon is ready to host the CAN 2019 to clear off any controversies stemming from the fact that there is an ongoing political and socio-economic instability in the South West and North West Regions of Cameroon.

Work is currently on going in the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé and a media campaign has already been launched with the slogan "We are already there."
